WHAT IS MUSIC VIDEO ASHEVILLE?

The Music Video Asheville mission is to: increase the awareness and appreciation of local musicians and filmmakers by showcasing their collaborative works in a public event.

Lush Life Productions, Dreamspider Publicity, theONcorps and Sound Mind Creative present the 5th Annual MUSIC VIDEO ASHEVILLE, a showcase to highlight the pairing of local musicians and filmmakers, taking place on Wednesday,  May 9,  2012 at Cinebarre in Biltmore Square Mall.

Join Asheville’s music and film elite on the red carpet for the 5th Anniversary Celebration of Music Video Asheville. Don your Grammy-style attire, sip champagne and pose for the paparazzi. Watch music videos by Asheville’s premier musicians and filmmakers on the big screen at Cinebarre as they vie for the $500 cash prize and studio time at Echo Mountain. For those wishing to arrive in style and depart responsibly, board The New Belgium Brewing VIP Party Bus which picks up and drops off at the Official After Party at One Stop Deli and Bar with DJ Molly Parti. Don’t miss this all star event at 6pm on May 9th.

Advance tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 10th 12:00pm. The screening is open to the public, and tickets are available for $8 in advance or $10 at the door. $30 for VIP. Be sure to bring your friends! Buy your tickets at One Stop Deli and Bar, Harvest Records or Cinebarre.

The showcase is open to all Buncombe County residents who are musical artists and filmmakers who wish to submit a local act’s  conceptual music video, live performance video, experimental or documentary style film.
